Having trouble with a trailing back leg?

Is your stance more suited to the fencing team rather than the tele team?

Try these few ideas to 'gather' your legs:

Tighten up your buttocks. This will tend to draw your legs in under you.

Think of dropping between your skis rather than throwing your front leg forward. The front thrust can often leave your back leg behind.

Keep the front knee soft, over your foot and pointing into the turn (Paul Parker's headlight in the knee is a useful picture). A soft bent front knee will bring both feet closer to under your body.

Imagine or actually tie a loose scarf around both legs at the knees and tele down a gentle slope. This is a great cure for the D'Artagnon skier.
