NSW Nordic Ski Club
TRIP ETIQUETTE
Essential gear on all ski trips is: first aid kit, torch, map, compass, waterproof mittens, blizzard jacket and water proof overpants, extra warm clothing. See the Gear List for more details.
The Kosciuszko Road between Perisher Valley and the Chalet is open to over snow transport between the start and finish of the season. Skiers using this section of road must obey normal pedestrian rules.
Private transport plays a big part in getting people to and from the snow country. Where you share private transport with other members you should reasonably be expected to provide the transport every third or fourth trip, assuming your car holds three or four people and their gear.
Trip leaders should ring the Membership Secretary in the days following a trip and inform them of the names of and visitors (non Club members) who attended the trip. The Club is required to keep a record of this information for insurance purposes.
