Sept 10 - 13	Northern Kosciuszko National Park – 4 Day Trip Grade: 2B. Drive in over Nimmo Plain and park vehicles as far up the mountain as possible towards Cesjacks Hut. Ski to Cesjacks Hut then on to O’Keefes Hut (if the weather is kind we will go via Jagungal for some magnificent views of the range). We’ll head north to Boobee Hut for the next night and then to onto Mackeys Hut for our last night before returning back the vehicles. Sept 18-25	Skiing - Lodge-based day trips from Charlotte Pass Grade: Variable to suit. Enjoy the luxury of dry boots, skiing from the door, fully catered, day trips to places like Lake Cootapatamba, Mt Kosciuszko, Mt Townsend, Mt Lee, Mt Carruthers, Mt Twynam, Watson's Crags, Blue Lake, Club Lake, Mt Stilwell, Twin Valleys, etc, or sharpen up your teles on the lifts. Experience the outrageously cooperative spring snow and choose the grade to suit yourself. Come for some or all of the week. Cost $495 for the week. Great value for full board. Payment required now. Sept 18 - 20	Nordic Moon Festival Grade: 2B. 3 days skiing from a base on the Main Range or the Rolling Ground, and admiring the almost full moon in the evenings. Exact location to be advised closer to the date. Map: Mt Kosciusko 1:50,000. Contact withheld.
Sept 22	Monthly NSC Meeting - Climate Change 7:30pm-9:30pm @ McMahons Point Community Centre, upper level 165 Blues Point Road, North Sydney (opposite the New Commodore Tavern). Speaker: Club member and climate change professional Harley Wright will give a presentation on climate change, focussing on the magnitude of the problem and measures needed to address it efficiently. Oct 1 - 4	Guthega – Mt Tate - 4 Day Trip Grade: 2B. XC Touring Ski (or snow shoeing/snowboard). Guthega, Consett Stephens Pass, Mt Tate, Mt Andersen, Twyhnam, Guthega – base camp and XCDing off Mt Andersen. Alternate plan is to go in from the Chalet, base Camp at Sentinal Base and do XCD day trips. Maps: 1:50,000 Kossie Contact withheld.
Oct 8 - 11	President's Weekend Bash Grade: Variable to suit. This is usually the final ski trip for the season (for most). This trip is traditionally combined with a stay at a Charlotte Pass lodge to allow for a very relaxed weekend. Places will be reserved for Friday/Saturday/Sunday nights. Don't forget that Charlotte's Pass can only be accessed via oversnow vehicles until the road officially opens. The road is usually open after the October long weekend and you ‘should’ be able to drop off luggage at the lodge. Oct 15 - 18	Club Lake and Main Range - 4 day trip Grade: 2B. After leaving the vehicles at Charlotte Pass or Spencers Creek we will follow the Main Range Track, cross the Snowy River and Club Lake Creek before heading off to find a campsite below Club Lake. From this base camp we will spend plenty of time getting in turns on a variety of slopes in the vicinity of Carruthers Peak and Mount Lee. We will also look at options for day trips to Kosciuszko, Townsend, Little Austria, Mount Twynam, etc Rockhoppers, wetsuit booties or volley sandshoes are recommended for crossing the Snowy River and taking a Poo tube will help minimize your environmental impact. Nov 5 - 8	Watsons Crags – Mt Twynam NW Ridge - 4 Day Trip Grade: 2B. XC Touring Ski (or snow shoeing/snowboard). Ski in from the Chalet, base Camp at Sentinal Shelf and do XCD day trips to the Crags and other ridges. Maps: 1:50,000 Kossie. Contact withheld.
